<강아지 이야기>는 강아지의 이야기다.

강아지에 대한 이야기이자 강아지가 하는 이야기. 전시는 크게 ‘동행’, ‘101마리 강아지 그림’, 짤막한 애니메이션 영상들 이렇게 세 시리즈로 구성된다.

동행 (우린 한 배를 타고 있어)

허리가 아프신 할아버지와 다리가 아픈 강아지가 있다. 이 둘은 언제나 무엇이든 함께 한다. 빵을 나누어 먹고 무거운 짐을 들어주며 함께 걷는다. 어느덧 사회 뒤편으로 물러나게 된 노인과 언제나 그 곁을 지키는 개. 때로는 삶이 힘들어도 함께라서 버틸 수 있다. 가족이자 친구로서 동행하는 할아버지와 강아지. 오늘도 여느 하루처럼 산책을 마치고 집으로 돌아간다. 둘의 모습은 참 많이 닮아있다.

​101마리 강아지 그림

Gaegrim(개그림)작가는 실재하는 101마리 강아지들의 사연과 사진을 직접 받아 한 마리씩 그려가는 프로젝트를 진행해왔다. 이 ‘101마리 강아지 그림’ 프로젝트는 무려 2년 넘게 계속되었고 얼마 전 ‘101마리 강아지들의 단체샷’을 완성하며 대미를 장식하였다. 우리와 동행하는 101마리 아이들의 이름을 불러보면서 올 한 해를 마무리해 본다.

​이외에도 ‘수박’, ‘락스타’, ‘MGM오마주’, ‘팝콘’, ‘마술쇼’ 등 우리 주변의 강아지들을 주인공으로 하여 작가가 만들어온 짤막한 애니메이션 영상들을 함께 감상할 수 있다.

Companionship (In the Same Boat)

An old man with a bad back and a dog with a hurt leg are always together, no matter what. They share bread, carry heavy loads, and walk together. An old man who has retreated to the margins of society and a dog who always stays by his side. Even though life is hard, together they can make it through everything. An old man and his dog are family and friends. Today, like any other day, they are returning home after a walk. The old man and the dog look alike.

101 Dogs Drawings

Artist Gaegrim has been working on a project to draw 101 real-life dogs, each with their own stories and photos. This project has been going on for more than two years and recently culminated in a ‘101 dogs’ group drawing’. Let's end the year by calling out the names of the 101 dogs who are accompanying us.
